Ted RTF(Rich Text File) Processor

Ted is a light weight word processor for Linux. Ted Reads and Writes in Microsoft's RTF Format. it is like but with a Spell Checker and other word processing Features not found in Word pad. It is 100% Compatible with Word pad running on Windows . Ted even has the ability to Convert RTF files to postscript files and converts RTF to PDF. There are more powerful word processor with extra features I don't need I a lot of Features. I like to keep things real simple so Ted is the Choice for me.


Pros.
  • Converts RTF to PDF.
  • Full WYSIWYG editor.
  • compatible With Windows File Format.
  • Supports standard Cut Copy and Past.
    •
    Cons.
  • Right clicking brings up font menu might be weird for new users
  • No Grammar correction (so I use the old DOS program Gramatick. I run it in DOS Box)

    QB64 IDE and Compiler

    QB64 is a modern 64-Bit extend basic with Open GL support for Windows, Linux & macOs that retains Compatability with Quick Basic 4.5 QB64 Is able to Compile to 64-bit binary.

    Back in The 1980's BASIC was the most used programming Language and Quick Basic was the best. You no longer had to use Line Number you had a full screen Editor QB64 builds on that allowing you to tap into Open GL to make awesome games and programs.

  • Easy to learn and fun.
  • Lots of Documentation.
  • Compiles to whatever OS your Running it on.

    Cons.
  • Programs Run slower then programs written in C,C++,Rust.
  • Not as Popular as Python.

    Helix Text Editor

    I started out using Vim when my hard drive crashed I lost all my plug-ins and config. When I installed Manjaro Sway edition it came with Helix and it pretty much had every feature I would have had to install a plugin for Vim. it comes with Auto complete, Surround, multiple cursors, Snippets, Syntax coloring, Multiple Clipboards, and much more


    Pros.
  • Uses Most of the same key bindings as Vim
  • Language Support
  • A built in totoral
  • Multi Selection
    •
    Cons.
  • No plug-in system yet
  • Some key binding are different than Vim
    •
